Biblical Meaning

The phrase on this shirt is not a direct quotation, but it rests squarely on Colossians 1:17: “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (NIV). Paul is writing to a young church that was being told Christ was one power among many. His answer is that Christ comes first — before creation, before the empire, before whatever is pressing on you right now — and that the world doesn’t stay together by luck or by our effort. It holds because He holds it.

In everyday terms, that changes how the hard days feel. The bill, the diagnosis, the kid who won’t call back, the news cycle — none of it is outside His reach or above His authority. The shirt doesn’t promise those things go away. It says who is over them. That’s enough to steady a man’s hands and get back to work.

About the Design

Tall, condensed block capitals stacked in three lines: GOD in white, OVER in a warm antique gold, EVERYTHING in white beneath. The gold on the middle word is deliberate — the “over” is the point. A subtle distressed texture runs through the letters so it reads as a worn, hard-wearing print rather than a glossy decal. Below the wordmark sits the gold D2S crown mark in a brushed, paint-drip circle. D2S stands for Die2Self — putting God’s will above your own — and it appears on a number of Rock/Water’s streetwear designs. The crown over the letters makes the same point as the words above it: He reigns, we don’t. Together the wordmark and the mark say one thing two ways. Printed on Black, Forest, Maroon and Navy, where the white and gold carry the most contrast.
